1. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through our identity provider (Supabase Auth). We do not store passwords directly.
• Session and conversation data: Your tutoring sessions, messages, study plans, flashcard decks, quiz results, and class configurations are stored to provide the Service and enable cross-session memory features.
• Usage data: We collect anonymized analytics about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and mode selections. This data helps us improve the product.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, bank account details, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. Stripe may collect and store this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
• Device and browser information: We may collect standard technical information such as browser type, operating system, and screen resolution to ensure compatibility and optimize your experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including AI-powered tutoring sessions, study plans, quizzes, and memory features.
• To personalize your learning experience, including remembering topics you have covered and adapting to your progress.
• To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
• To communicate with you about your account, respond to support requests, and send service-related notices.
• To analyze usage patterns in aggregate to improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data or conversation content.

3. AI and Your Data

CyTeach uses third-party AI model providers (currently accessed through OpenRouter) to power tutoring sessions. Your session messages are sent to these providers to generate responses. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. The AI providers we use are contractually prohibited from using your data for model training. We may change AI providers over time; any replacement will be held to the same data protection standards.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate CyTeach:

• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting. Your account and session data is stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure.
• Stripe: Payment processing for paid subscriptions. Stripe handles all sensitive payment information.
• OpenRouter: AI model routing for tutoring session responses. Session messages are transmitted to generate AI responses.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Retention

You control how long CyTeach retains your session data. In your Settings, you can choose a retention period of 30 days, 90 days (paid plans), or indefinitely (paid plans). Sessions older than your selected retention period are automatically deleted. You may also manually delete individual classes and all associated data at any time through Settings.

6. Your Rights and Choices

• Access and deletion: You can view your data within the app. You can delete individual classes or erase all your data entirely using the "Erase all my data" option in Settings, which permanently removes your account and all associated content.
• Data portability: If you would like a copy of your data, please contact us at admin@cyvante.com.
• Opt out of analytics: You may use browser-level tracking prevention tools. We respect Do Not Track signals where technically feasible.
• Account closure: Deleting your account removes all personal data, sessions, study plans, materials, and AI memory from our systems.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

CyTeach uses browser local storage to maintain your session state, preferences, and authentication tokens. We use essential cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe may set its own cookies during the checkout process.

8. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication flows, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

CyTeach is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CyTeach after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
